7 Ways to Remember SNAP in your Holiday Donations this Year

7 Wishes for ChristmasAs the days wind down to the much anticipated Holiday of the year, we wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy time with family and friends. Most of all SNAP-2 IT would like to thank you for your dedicated support to helping us accomplish our mission of spaying and neutering over 600 animals in 2013. SNAP has also been able to rescue from the streets or local animal control over 400 animals this year. We still have many looking for that perfect forever home and you can help fill our 7 wishes for Christmas.

1. Become a Monthly Sponsor: A small gift monthly will help SNAP continue spaying and neutering to stop the unwanted pet overpopulation problem in Georgia.
2. Volunteer: There are many ways you can help animals in need. Volunteering comes in many forms and fashions. Set aside a day a week, every other week or once a month to help animals.
3. Foster: You can foster in two ways. One is by sponsoring an animal waiting for a forever home with a small monthly donation. Two, actually foster a puppy, kitten, dog or cat in your home.
4. Collect and save your Aluminum cans for SNAP. This has been an ongoing fundraiser for SNAP animals since 2010 and we have raised over $4,000.00 just by recycling. Many of you are already recycling; just make an extra can of your aluminum and call for pick up’s when it is full! Get your neighborhood involved and help us raise $4,000 in 2014 and make it the best year ever.
5. Kroger Rewards: If you have a Kroger Plus card, you can register your card to SNAP-2 IT and we will receive quarterly checks for helping further our mission based on the money you are already spending.
6. Coupons/Ink Cartridges: Do you clip coupons already? If so, clip a few for SNAP too. We LOVE coupons! They help SNAP provide food for over 400 animals a day! If you have a printer at home and or your office, save those ink cartridges! We recycle them to pay for all of our office supplies that we need throughout the year.
7. Donate your gently used items to Second Life in Avondale Estates. SNAP is a lucky beneficiary of a quarterly grant from Second Life from the items donated and sold in their Avondale store. They support many wonderful rescues and spay/neuter clinics in our area. Looking for a great gift for someone, don’t forget to go by there and shop. They have wonderful deals on all kinds of great items for your family and friends.

Enjoy your time with friends and family and many well wishes for a safe and happy Christmas season.
