Atlas is a beautiful white and fawn terrier mix, about 2 years old and full of a love for life! This sweet boy can be lazy and sleep most of the day, or be full of pep; really depends on you! He loves cuddles on the sofa, nuzzling kitty ears (yep, he adores cats and kittens), and he loves playing with his canine brothers. Atlas spent a lot of time in doggy daycare and made lots of friends. Atlas is not quick to bark at neighbors or their dogs passing by (as his brother dogs do), he rather stay by me. He loves ALL the toys, and enjoys his crate too when it’s nap time or bed time. We cover him up just like you would a bird, and in the morning he’s all puppy wiggles to welcome in a new day! Our boy can sleep! No whines or moans going to bed or waking up early. He is definitely house broken, and can hold it like his big brothers! Atlas needs a canine friend in his forever home, and it’s got to be someone special, preferably a young one or teenager. A patient companion is best for Atlas as he was taken from his litter quite young, he missed out on those basics of dog play early on in life. We’ve been working on his manners when it comes to more mature dogs. He’s learning to be more respectful, but it’s not an ideal match unless your senior is spry and confident. Atlas loves kids and is very social on trips to the store. Don’t be surprised if he rolls over for every little girl or boy he encounters in PetSmart. Atlas loves to play chase with other dogs, and loves to chase AND return the ball! He knows sit, stay, off, and leave it. We are working on more. He’s respectful of everyone’s food bowl and shows no aggression or greediness. Atlas is truly a love bug who just wants to lay his big head in your lap and make puppy dog eyes as he drifts to sleep.
He will be great in any type of home including with older children, another cat/kitten or small dogs. has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family.
Like all SNAP pets, he is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment.
