Peanut

Peanut Orange tabby DOB 5/15/2016   Hello there, future family! I’m just a little orange peanut named, <drumroll please>, Peanut! I hope you’re as excited to meet me as I am to meet you. I’m all ready to move into my new house but there are a few things I will require, namely a cozy place to sleep, a toy mouse to play with, and a human who thinks that I am the cutest, most adorable guy ever. I want to let you know that I am only 8 months old so I love to play! I also think you should know that I have very special orange stripes because they are made up of little spots instead of plain old stripes. Aren’t I interesting?   When you take me home, I promise you’ll learn all kinds of wonderful things about me and I can’t wait to find out all about you.  Although, I do hope to discover that your house is stocked with lots of fishy items like salmon and tuna and that you have lots of endurance to pet me all day long.  I can’t wait to find out!   SNAP Recommends Peanut will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Peanut is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. Lady Gray

Lady Gray

Lady Gray Blue Russian/Tabby Mix DOB 1/20/2013   Greetings!  My name is Lady Gray.  Some people might think that I got my name because I am (a) gray and (b) a lady.  But they would be wrong.  The truth is that I’m called Lady Gray because I’m so regal and elegant and exquisite.  I think I might even be an aristocat, descended from European nobility.  No one has confimed this yet, but I am teaching myself French just in case someone offers to take me to Paris someday.  I am also learning to play the harp and to walk around while balancing a book on my head, which seem like regal and elegant and exquisite things that a Lady like me should be able to do. I recently read in a book (after it fell off my head) that a Lady should always be well dressed.  I think I’ve got that covered, because I always wear a satin-soft gray coat and I never go out without making sure my whiskers are nicely groomed.  I am also declawed, because my previous owner was afraid that I might scratch the furniture.  But I would never have done that, because it wouldn’t have been a very regal and elegant and exquisite thing to do.   I’d prefer my new kingdom not to have a dog in it, because I am quite refined and dogs are not.  Small children are also unrefined, and sometimes sticky, but I wouldn’t mind co-governing my realm with some calm older children, as long as they were well behaved with nicely-groomed whiskers like mine.  Above all, I am very sweet and loving, and I am hoping to share my domain with people who are lovely and kind.  My book says that loveliness and kindness are the height of etticat (which is etiquette for cats).   SNAP Recommends Lady Gray will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. She has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Lady Gray is spayed, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. Grizzly

Grizzly

Grizzly Bombay DOB 1/30/2016   In the deep, dark depths of the woods, there was a ferocious, mighty creature…just kidding! There was a kitten! Grizzly the kitten, to be precise.  He was found in the woods behind a dumpster, which isn’t a very pleasant place to be at all.  Luckily, a nice foster family agreed to give this one year old kitten a place to stay until he can find a permanent place to rest his paws.  Grizzly has really taken to life indoors and is extremely excited to find a future living in the lap of luxury (and he thinks human laps are pretty luxurious!).  Although he is named after a bear and looks just like a sleek black panther with golden jungle eyes, this kitty is a complete sweetheart. He just loves humans and is very affectionate.  He also loves to play with all kinds of toys, from catnip filled mice to colorful feathers to shoelaces. Grizzly is also not fussy about the food he eats and has found that everything about life indoors is better! What could be better than to watch the birds from the comfort of a tufted window seat? Won’t you take this beautiful fellow home? He would love a house of his very own in which to prowl.   SNAP Recommends Grizzly will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Grizzly is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. ADOPTED! Pumbaa

Pumbaa Black/White DOB 8/25/2016   In Swahili, the name Pumbaa means an individual who is silly. But as we know from our endearing cartoon friend Pumbaa, there may be more than meets the eye!   Our kitten Pumbaa is no different! This little one definitely has a sense of fun and is extremely playful. But he also has a tough, brave side when the occasion arises! For example, if Pumbaa hears a strange noise—his entire body will arch up and go on alert. He isn’t afraid of anything!   Pumbaa is 3.5 months old and was brought to us along with siblings Kiara and Timon. Pumbaa has an adorable black and white coat—a delicious Oreo cookie! His white whiskers are super perky and always standing at attention. His carnation pink nose is the piece de resistance!  Pumbaa is truly the perfect combination of strength and sensitivity.   Don’t wait, bring Pumbaa home today!   SNAP Recommends Pumbaa will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. Timon Tabby DOB 8/25/2016   Hakuna Matata! We are thrilled to introduce spunky little Timon.   Timon is 3.5 months old and was brought to us along with siblings Kiara and Pumbaa. Timon is a bright, energetic little guy with the same spirit as his Disney namesake. He is always looking for something fun to do! It would be fabulous if Timon could be adopted with one of his siblings, but it is not required.   Timon has a sleek, slender body just like a meerkat! His light tabby color is accented by the palest of blue-green eyes that remind you of a summer’s day. His coat is baby-fur soft—just perfect for long snuggle sessions!   Scoop up Timon before it’s too late!   SNAP Recommends Timon will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. ADOPTED! Winslow

Winslow Turkish Van DOB 8/23/2015   Hello, world!  It’s me, Winslow!  Now the weather outside is frightful, but this kitten is so delightful (even if I do say so myself!)  How would you like to cuddle up with a tiny Turkish Van this winter?  Just picture it, me in my bunny-rabbit soft fur coat, you in your most hideous holiday sweater.  My orange tail and amber eyes will even match your roaring fireplace!  And the rest of me is so white that you might mistake me for a little fluffy snowball.  (Just don’t try to throw me, please!) I was a bottle-fed baby, which means I’m very affectionate towards humans.  You might find me a touch shy at first, but with a little encouragement and a lot of love, you’ll soon have me eating out of the palm of your hand (especially if there’s a treat in it.) As a breed, we Turkish Vans are often fascinated by water, which means you might on occasion find me delightedly stirring my water bowl (or, ahem, the toilet bowl) with my paw.  But don’t worry if your home doesn’t have a giant swimming pool just for me – all I want is you!   SNAP Recommends Winslow will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Winslow is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. Trey

Trey Black/White DSH DOB 6/10/2016   Hey there, Mr. Cool! Little Trey is truly a kitten with style.   Trey is 6 months old and was brought to us along with his three siblings, including his twin brother Trip. At first glance, it might seem impossible to tell these two handsome guys apart. Both have matching black fur that is simply gorgeous. But give Trey a quick belly rub and you will see that he has a unique white patch adorning his stomach.   Trey is a doer—he always wants to play with a toy or go on the hunt for adventure and fun. However, this active lifestyle can get tiring for a baby kitten. He definitely loves to cuddle and have a quiet moment with his human friends. Trey is a real sweetie!   On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me…an amazing kitten named Trey! Trey is here waiting for you.   SNAP Recommends Trey will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Trey is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. ADOPTED! Domino

Domino Black/White Tuxedo DOB 6/15/2016   Hi! My name is Domino because I am a very dashing black and white kitty. I’m only six month old but I already know where to find the yummiest food.  I was found in a Wendy’s parking lot, dreaming of spicy chicken sandwiches.  My rescuers told me that the spiciness would have hurt my belly, so I’m glad I have such smart humans to guide me toward wiser food choices.  I may be young and have a lot to learn still, but I do know a few things.  For example, I know that my favorite place in the whole wide world is on my future owner’s lap.  I know that being sweet gets you far in life (and I’m as sweet as a pot of honey!).  I know that my jungle green eyes will charm everyone I meet, and I know that my future family will be very lucky to have me because I plan on spoiling them with plenty of purrs, rubs, and attention because I will be so grateful to have a home and family of my very own!   SNAP Recommends Domino will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Domino is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. ADOPTED! Lazarus

ADOPTED! Lazarus

Lazarus Black/White Tuxedo DOB 7/17/2016   A Holiday Miracle: Finding Lazarus When our volunteer arrived at the Atlanta airport on a frigid Atlanta night, she couldn’t find her luggage…or her car.  She shivered as she wandered the sprawling parking garage long after dark, and finally enlisted the help of a security guard.  And then, she saw it:  a black shape, still and small, in the shadow of an oil drum trash can pushed against a dark brown door.  Her heart sank.  Whatever it was, it wasn’t moving in the cold air. She and the security guard approached, speaking in low tones to hopefully prevent a scared and cornered animal from bolting.  The cat remained still, in “loaf praying position” with its head tucked firmly forward and planted on the floor.  The black and white smallish kitten did not react to voice, a tentative pet and finally to a stronger touch and scruff. His small body was cold, and our volunteer believed that a compassionate burial or euthanization were likely the only kindnesses she could show this small creature.  After using her cell phone as a flashlight, though, she saw his chest move!  Not much.  But enough.  While the security guard went to find a box to transport the kitten, she began texting SNAP. The kitten went in the box.  The box went in the now-found car.  And our volunteer and the little cold one she named Baby Lazarus went to the overnight emergency vet. Baby Lazarus was only a few degrees away from death when he was found but after a night of warming and fluids, was well enough to be discharged to SNAP’s care.  Telltale oil embedded in his paws and slightly singed whiskers tell us that perhaps this little tuxedo boy hitched a ride to the airport, and dropped off far from familiar surroundings, was helpless.  Baby Lazarus was not chipped, so there was no one for SNAP to contact to claim him. Although he was terribly weak and dehydrated – so wobbly on his feet with tremors, and barely able to get a meow out – those issues were thankfully temporary! Now that he has recovered from a few weeks, SNAP seeks a foster or permanent home for Lazarus. These pictures were taken the morning after his rescue, leaving the vet. We believe this tuxedo boy with his silly joker grin is about 5 months old.  Lazarus has gold flecked green eyes, fuzzy ears, and a Poirot mustache with a snappy white tuxedo bib. He has become spoiled and loves the regular food and warmth he is receiving, but is stressed by the large number of animals currently at the SNAP central location. Lazarus does not find the kittens who want to play constantly funny, not one bit. We need a caring foster who can get to know him, continue to socialize him (he purrs at the touch and actively seeks human attention) and give this miracle kitten some time to find his feet.  We don’t know what happened to Lazarus before his trip to the airport…but we will help him find his own holiday miracle.   SNAP Recommends Lazarus will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Lazarus is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment. If you are interested in finding out more about Lazarus, fostering or adoption, please email...

Franklin & Theodore – The Roosevelt Twins

Franklin & Theodore – The Roosevelt Twins

Franklin & Theodore – The Roosevelt Twins Tabby twins DOB 7/13/2016   Franklin and Theodore hail from Warm Springs, Georgia, home of The Little House.  We’re not sure if they are actually kin to the Roosevelts, but the name seems apt.  From what they could tell us of their history, their mother was tragically killed by a car and the orphan brothers were hand raised by a wonderful family who found them.  When they were big enough, they came to the Big City to find their fortune and their forever home.   They have a lot going for them…..they are beautiful,  perfectly marked classic tabby identical twins…about 5 months old….and full of fun, love, and unending curiosity.  They are very, very bonded and where one is the other is not far away.  They love everybody and everything….kids, dogs, cats and almost any other creature they come upon.  Theodore is especially fond of giving kisses to all of the above.  Wonderful sweet, playful, loving kittens who follow you wherever you go and participate in every activity to which they are invited (and some where they are not invited). Would make a great addition to any family…they would love kids, dogs, cats, or other creatures with equal vigor.   SNAP Recommends Franklin and Theodore will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. They have no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Franklin and Theodore are neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. Rainey

Rainey Bob-tailed Tabby Young   Hello, future forever family!  My name is Rainey, and I am a bob-tailed tabby kitten!  I look a little bit timid in my photos, but if you were to come and visit me, I think you would find me to be very sociable and affectionate.  I was found under a dumpster when I was just a month old.  Imagine a bob-tailed tabby kitten like me living so near to a trash-can, like Oscar the Grouch!  Luckily, I had my brothers and sisters, Finn, Callie, Jake, and Sunny, to cuddle and keep me warm.  Maybe you’d like to adopt one of them along with me?  They are my very best friends. I heard it was traditional to leave out some cookies and milk for Santa.  I like that idea.  Perhaps you’d consider leaving out some cat-treats and milk for me, too?  Milk reminds me of the days when I was an even tinier kitten than I am now, and I was bottle-fed by humans.  Since humans were so kind to me, I am always very affectionate towards their whole breed.  Lately, I have been serenading them with holiday songs like “Feline Navidad,” “Santa Claws is Coming to Town,” and “Rainy the Bob-Tailed Kitten.”  I think I have a very lovely voice.  If you were to take me home with you, I would serenade you, too.  Plus, you could tell everyone that you have your very own Rain-dear!   SNAP Recommends Rainey will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. She has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Rainey is spayed, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment. ADOPTED! Gracie

Gracie Russian Blue Young Why, hello there! My name is Gracie and I am the very embodiment of elegance.  My idol is Grace Kelly and I hope that one day I will be someone’s princess too. I am a Russian Blue kitty, which means that I’m very lucky in the looks department.  I have soft, charcoal fur and light green, intelligent eyes.  I like to sit with my front feet curled up in a very lady-like way.  I was raised with impeccable manners and always conduct myself in a proper yet adorable way. An essential, although often overlooked, part of being graceful is taking care of those around you, so I am very loving and affectionate, and I know how to show my appreciation.  I promise to treat my humans to a grand and wonderful life, if you’ll only whisk me away to my palace!   SNAP Recommends Gracie will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. She has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Gracie is spayed, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. Mitzi

Mitzi Calico DOB 7/3/2016   Well, what a nice surprise! We are so happy Mitzi has come into our lives.   Mitzi is an extremely loving 5-month-old kitten. She has a vibrant calico pattern that we like to call “her coat of many colors”.  Mitzi’s fur will remind you of a soft, downy cloud. You just can’t stop petting her! Due to a severe eye infection during the early months of her life, her left eye is likely non-functional. But this hasn’t stopped our spunky gal!   Mitzi loves being around human friends and loves to absorb everything we say and do. She is extremely affectionate and is not afraid to show you how much she loves you. Mitzi loves hanging around with her siblings and other feline friends. We feel she would flourish best if she had the chance to go to her forever home with one of her siblings or another cat friend.   Don’t let this little gem get away! Mitzi is here waiting for you!   SNAP Recommends Mitzi will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. She has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Mitizi is spayed, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment. If you are interested in finding out more about Mitzi, fostering or adoption, please email us at adoptions@snap2it.org.
