Hello! My name is Callie, which means “pretty” in ancient Greek! I think that is a very convenient name for me, because I have a pretty, heart-shaped pink nose and pretty white, black, and orange, calico markings. In fact, “Callie” is short for Calico. Speaking of short, have you spotted my little tail yet? My mom was a Manx, which means she had hardly any tail at all, but I personally have a little bit of tail. I am quite proud of it, because I grew it all by myself.
Do you know that Christmas song “Jingle Bells” which goes, “bells on bobtails ring, making spirits rise?” Well, that song was written about ME, because I am a bobtail! Some people call me a “stumpy” instead of a “bobtail,” but I think “bobtail” sounds much more elegant. (Also, “bells on stumpies ring” does not sound good at ALL). At first, I thought the part about “making spirits rise” meant that I could conjure up ghosts, and I got a bit scared because I do not like ghosts at ALL, so I hid behind my scratching-post. But then a kind human reassured me that “making spirits rise” just means that I make everybody feel happy (except ghosts. I do not like ghosts at ALL). And that made ME feel happy, because it is true!
When I was just a little baby cat, my mom was always very busy searching for her missing tail, so I was bottle-fed by humans instead. That means I am very loving towards everyone, especially everyone who holds me and feeds me. And I would be very lonely without another four-legged friend in my new forever home (even a dog!) so perhaps you would like to adopt me along with one of my equally lovable brothers and sisters, Finn, Jake, Rainy, and Sunny? I would like that, too!
Callie will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. She has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family.
Like all SNAP pets, Callie is spayed, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment.
