ADOPTED! Pumbaa

Pumbaa Black/White DOB 8/25/2016   In Swahili, the name Pumbaa means an individual who is silly. But as we know from our endearing cartoon friend Pumbaa, there may be more than meets the eye!   Our kitten Pumbaa is no different! This little one definitely has a sense of fun and is extremely playful. But he also has a tough, brave side when the occasion arises! For example, if Pumbaa hears a strange noise—his entire body will arch up and go on alert. He isn’t afraid of anything!   Pumbaa is 3.5 months old and was brought to us along with siblings Kiara and Timon. Pumbaa has an adorable black and white coat—a delicious Oreo cookie! His white whiskers are super perky and always standing at attention. His carnation pink nose is the piece de resistance!  Pumbaa is truly the perfect combination of strength and sensitivity.   Don’t wait, bring Pumbaa home today!   SNAP Recommends Pumbaa will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Pumbaa is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment. ADOPTED! Winslow

Winslow Turkish Van DOB 8/23/2015   Hello, world!  It’s me, Winslow!  Now the weather outside is frightful, but this kitten is so delightful (even if I do say so myself!)  How would you like to cuddle up with a tiny Turkish Van this winter?  Just picture it, me in my bunny-rabbit soft fur coat, you in your most hideous holiday sweater.  My orange tail and amber eyes will even match your roaring fireplace!  And the rest of me is so white that you might mistake me for a little fluffy snowball.  (Just don’t try to throw me, please!) I was a bottle-fed baby, which means I’m very affectionate towards humans.  You might find me a touch shy at first, but with a little encouragement and a lot of love, you’ll soon have me eating out of the palm of your hand (especially if there’s a treat in it.) As a breed, we Turkish Vans are often fascinated by water, which means you might on occasion find me delightedly stirring my water bowl (or, ahem, the toilet bowl) with my paw.  But don’t worry if your home doesn’t have a giant swimming pool just for me – all I want is you!   SNAP Recommends Winslow will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Winslow is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment. ADOPTED! Domino

ADOPTED! Domino

Domino Black/White Tuxedo DOB 6/15/2016   Hi! My name is Domino because I am a very dashing black and white kitty. I’m only six month old but I already know where to find the yummiest food.  I was found in a Wendy’s parking lot, dreaming of spicy chicken sandwiches.  My rescuers told me that the spiciness would have hurt my belly, so I’m glad I have such smart humans to guide me toward wiser food choices.  I may be young and have a lot to learn still, but I do know a few things.  For example, I know that my favorite place in the whole wide world is on my future owner’s lap.  I know that being sweet gets you far in life (and I’m as sweet as a pot of honey!).  I know that my jungle green eyes will charm everyone I meet, and I know that my future family will be very lucky to have me because I plan on spoiling them with plenty of purrs, rubs, and attention because I will be so grateful to have a home and family of my very own!   SNAP Recommends Domino will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Domino is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment. ADOPTED! Lazarus

ADOPTED! Lazarus

Lazarus Black/White Tuxedo DOB 7/17/2016   A Holiday Miracle: Finding Lazarus When our volunteer arrived at the Atlanta airport on a frigid Atlanta night, she couldn’t find her luggage…or her car.  She shivered as she wandered the sprawling parking garage long after dark, and finally enlisted the help of a security guard.  And then, she saw it:  a black shape, still and small, in the shadow of an oil drum trash can pushed against a dark brown door.  Her heart sank.  Whatever it was, it wasn’t moving in the cold air. She and the security guard approached, speaking in low tones to hopefully prevent a scared and cornered animal from bolting.  The cat remained still, in “loaf praying position” with its head tucked firmly forward and planted on the floor.  The black and white smallish kitten did not react to voice, a tentative pet and finally to a stronger touch and scruff. His small body was cold, and our volunteer believed that a compassionate burial or euthanization were likely the only kindnesses she could show this small creature.  After using her cell phone as a flashlight, though, she saw his chest move!  Not much.  But enough.  While the security guard went to find a box to transport the kitten, she began texting SNAP. The kitten went in the box.  The box went in the now-found car.  And our volunteer and the little cold one she named Baby Lazarus went to the overnight emergency vet. Baby Lazarus was only a few degrees away from death when he was found but after a night of warming and fluids, was well enough to be discharged to SNAP’s care.  Telltale oil embedded in his paws and slightly singed whiskers tell us that perhaps this little tuxedo boy hitched a ride to the airport, and dropped off far from familiar surroundings, was helpless.  Baby Lazarus was not chipped, so there was no one for SNAP to contact to claim him. Although he was terribly weak and dehydrated – so wobbly on his feet with tremors, and barely able to get a meow out – those issues were thankfully temporary! Now that he has recovered from a few weeks, SNAP seeks a foster or permanent home for Lazarus. These pictures were taken the morning after his rescue, leaving the vet. We believe this tuxedo boy with his silly joker grin is about 5 months old.  Lazarus has gold flecked green eyes, fuzzy ears, and a Poirot mustache with a snappy white tuxedo bib. He has become spoiled and loves the regular food and warmth he is receiving, but is stressed by the large number of animals currently at the SNAP central location. Lazarus does not find the kittens who want to play constantly funny, not one bit. We need a caring foster who can get to know him, continue to socialize him (he purrs at the touch and actively seeks human attention) and give this miracle kitten some time to find his feet.  We don’t know what happened to Lazarus before his trip to the airport…but we will help him find his own holiday miracle.   SNAP Recommends Lazarus will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Lazarus is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment. If you are interested in finding out more about Lazarus, fostering or adoption, please email...

ADOPTED! Finn

Finn Orange/White Tabby DOB 8/4/2016   Hello there! My name is Finn. I asked my foster mama where I got my name. I was curious because I am not Finn-icky, I am not from Finland, and I do not have fins. What could it be? She explained to me that I am cuter than a huckleberry! While I’m still a bit confused, I think that my name is pretty adorable, just like me. I am a tiny orange and white, bottle-fed kitty.  I am a bundle of joy who gets along with everyone, both four-legged and two-legged. Because I enjoy company so much, my new home must come with a companion animal-friend.  I think my new cat or dog sibling is going to love me! I am a bundle of energy who loves to play and I know that we will have so much fun together.   I can’t wait to meet my new family and show them what a fabulous time we’re all going to have together!   SNAP Recommends Finn will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Finn is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. ADOPTED! Jake

Jake Orange Tabby DOB 8/4/2016   Hello there, potential forever family!  Are you looking for a little orange bobtailed kitten called Jake, to cuddle by the fire during the long winter nights?  Well, what a coincidence!  I just happen to be a little orange bobtailed kitten called Jake, who LOVES cuddles.  I’ll even sing along with your favorite holiday songs!  (I have a particular interest in swans a-swimming, geese a-laying, calling birds, French hens, turtle doves, and partridges in pear trees. They all sound quite tasty.  I also like the sound of maids a-milking, since they remind me of when I was bottle-fed as a tiny kitten.  Happy days!)  And you wouldn’t even have to buy me any extra presents, because I’d be content just to jump in and out of your empty boxes.  In fact, I like to play so much that I’ll need another four-legged friend in my new forever home, to keep me company and give me extra snuggles.   Maybe you’d like to adopt me along with one of my equally adorable brothers and sisters, Finn, Callie, Rainy, and Sunny?  I once heard someone describe me as a “social butterfly,” which was quite confusing because I am clearly a little orange bobtailed kitten and not a butterfly.  If you would like to adopt a butterfly instead, may I suggest you try a botanical garden?  (I bet it won’t be nearly as cute as I am, though!)   SNAP Recommends Jake will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Jake is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment. If you are interested in finding out more about Jake, fostering or adoption, please email us at adoptions@snap2it.org. ADOPTED! Callie

ADOPTED! Callie

Callie Calico DOB 8/4/2016   Hello!  My name is Callie, which means “pretty” in ancient Greek!  I think that is a very convenient name for me, because I have a pretty, heart-shaped pink nose and pretty white, black, and orange, calico markings.  In fact, “Callie” is short for Calico.  Speaking of short, have you spotted my little tail yet?  My mom was a Manx, which means she had hardly any tail at all, but I personally have a little bit of tail.  I am quite proud of it, because I grew it all by myself. Do you know that Christmas song “Jingle Bells” which goes, “bells on bobtails ring, making spirits rise?”  Well, that song was written about ME, because I am a bobtail!  Some people call me a “stumpy” instead of a “bobtail,” but I think “bobtail” sounds much more elegant.  (Also, “bells on stumpies ring” does not sound good at ALL).  At first, I thought the part about “making spirits rise” meant that I could conjure up ghosts, and I got a bit scared because I do not like ghosts at ALL, so I hid behind my scratching-post.  But then a kind human reassured me that “making spirits rise” just means that I make everybody feel happy (except ghosts.  I do not like ghosts at ALL).  And that made ME feel happy, because it is true! When I was just a little baby cat, my mom was always very busy searching for her missing tail, so I was bottle-fed by humans instead.  That means I am very loving towards everyone, especially everyone who holds me and feeds me.  And I would be very lonely without another four-legged friend in my new forever home (even a dog!) so perhaps you would like to adopt me along with one of my equally lovable brothers and sisters, Finn, Jake, Rainy, and Sunny?  I would like that, too!   SNAP Recommends Callie will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. She has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Callie is spayed, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. ADOPTED! Simon and Rex

Simon and Rex Siamese, Striped Tabby DOB 7/1/2016   Hello, future family! My name is Simon and I am a Siamese cat. Did you know that Disney made a song all about me?  My foster mama says that although I am beautiful just like the Disney kitties, I am different because I am the sweetest Siamese, if you please! One of my favorite activities in the whole world is snuggling and I love to give lots of kisses to my human friends.  I am only five months old so I feel very lucky to have already found my best friend forever, Rex. Rex is not Siamese, but he is also happens to be exceptionally handsome. He has lots of stripes and I tell him that he looks just like a jungle cat! My foster mama explained that he is part Bengal and that is where he earned his stripes.  Rex, like me, loves attention and affection. We promise to shower our new family with love and laughter and we just can’t wait to start exploring our new home together!   SNAP Recommends Simon and Rex will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. They have no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family. Like all SNAP pets, Simon and Rex are neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. Hermione Lynx Point Siamese DOB   Smart. Classy. Resourceful. Just like her Harry Potter counterpart, our Hermione is an amazing girl.   Hermione has an incredibly loving personality and relishes in long cuddle sessions. ADOPTED! Toby

Toby White Swirl Tabby DOB 10/20/2015   Hi there! I’m Toby.  Pretty cute name, don’t you think?  I feel like a very lucky boy. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter by some lovely humans. Now that I’ve overcome that hurdle, I’m ready for the next step, which is finding a family I can love forever and ever. I’ve been learning all about this fancy new word, extrovert, because apparently it describes me perfectly! I thrive in social situations, am very outgoing, confident, and friendly. I know the trick to charm every human I meet– I just roll over and show off my exceptionally soft belly and knead the air or “make air biscuits,” as these Southerners like to say! It works every time. If you check out my photos you will see that my looks match my wonderful personality.  I am a very dashing white swirl tabby with an adorable pink nose, white feet, and an amused expression.  Won’t you please bring me home so I can show you my belly?   SNAP Recommends Toby will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family.   Like all SNAP pets, Toby is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. ADOPTED! Bogie

Bogie Orange Tabby DOB 6/18/2016   Why hello there! I’m Bogie and I’m only four months old. I got my name because I was found on the golf course trying to find work as a “catty.”    I had trouble because everyone seemed to think I was too small to carry their clubs, but I am a kitty of great ambition and believe that I can do anything I set my mind to! I’m now in a foster home, and my big dreams have turned away from the green toward finding a wonderful family.  I think I would be a fantastic addition to anyone’s home because of my exceptionally sweet and snuggly nature, beautiful orange coat, and charm, don’t you?  If you have a toy mouse for me, I would even putt it around the house to entertain you. Won’t you please bring me home? I promise that I’m as special as a hole in one!   SNAP Recommends Bogie will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family.   Like all SNAP pets, Bogie is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped.
