ADOPTED! Papa Smurf

Papa Smurf

Maine Coon

DOB 6/3/2015

Dear My Future Family,

It’s me!  Your new Maine Coon!

My name’s amazing: “Papa Smurf,”

Just like in that cartoon.

My favorite thing in all the world

Is when you scratch my chin.

I also like to cuddle

In whichever lap I’m in.

I am a gentle giant

And I love just being held.

(You can also give me extra treats

If you feel so compelled.)

And when you take a moment

To gaze into my green eyes,

You’ll see that, like my namesake,

I’m compassionate and wise.

I am very sweet and docile

Not to mention extra furry.

Though I’m positive for FIV,

I don’t want you to worry.

I plan to live a long, long life

Adorable and funny,

And if you let me prove it,

I will be your snuggle bunny.

I hope it’s nearly dinner time

I’m always in the mood.

(And I get a wee bit grinchy

When a villain steals my food.)

I’d do best in a forever home

With just one other cat.

Perhaps a lovely girl one,

But I’m flexible with that.

Although I’m nearly lion-sized,

You’ll like my quiet meow.

So don’t delay!  Adopt today!

And take me home right now.
