To Whom It May Concern,
I would like to apply to be your very own purr-sonal Shadow. I have lots of special skills which I think would make me a wonderful addition to your household. For example, I could follow you all around my new fur-ever home and/or welcome you at the door when you come back after a long day. If you are a little bit forgetful, I could helpfully meow to remind you to do important things, like giving me treats or playing with me. I could also keep you company by sitting on the sofa and binge-watching your favorite shows on Catflix.
I have excellent recommendations from my previous employers at the shelter. They said to tell you that I’m not only supremely cuddly and lovable, but also that I get along well with other kitties. So if you have some of those already, I would fit right in. They also said to tell you that I am very laid back — in that I like to lay back on people’s laps and purr my little heart out. You might even say that I am a bit of a purr-fectionist. (See? I have a good sense of humor, too!)
The one time that I am NOT very laid back is when I am in Car. Car makes a noise like a big scary monster, and has wheels instead of paws, which is weird. Also, Car is often a sneaky trap to get me to the V-E-T (I am very smart and know about things like spelling, so don’t even think about trying to trick me). But I suppose if you and I were traveling together, on the way to my new home, and if you were holding me in your lap and scratching my ears in a reassuring sort of way, then Car wouldn’t be so bad.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you require any additional information, like whether I prefer tuna- or chicken-flavored treats (spoiler alert: I like both!). I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Also, I love you. Please adopt me.
Shadow will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. She has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family.
Like all SNAP pets, Shadow is spayed, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment.
