Simone

Black/White Manx

DOB 10/15/2014

Hello, world!  My name is Simone, and I’m the friendliest, most affectionate Manx cat you could ever hope to meet.  I’m like a little ball of black-and-white cookie dough, and just as sweet.  As you can see, I’m the perfect size and shape to curl up in your lap.  And once I’m in, I’m not going anywhere!  Throw in some bonus tummy rubs and I’ll stay forever.

Some people call me Bunny Butt and ask me why I have no tail.  Sometimes I say it’s because I’m secretly a cross between a cat and a rabbit – a cabbit!  And then I do a little cabbit hop to demonstrate.  Other times I say that one day, my great-great-great grandmother was out mousing, and it suddenly began to rain very hard.  (The kind of rain when you would find me snuggled in your laundry basket for safety.)  A kind old man named Mr. Noah invited all the animals come onto his nice, warm Ark.  But my great-great-great grandmother was so intent on bringing her mouse that she ran in a little bit late, and Mr. Noah accidentally shut the door on her tail.  (FYI, lateness is not an inherited family trait.  I’m always on time for treats and cuddles.)

The truth is that I don’t have a tail is because I’m a little bit different.  And different is special!  If you’re a little bit different, like me, we’d be the best of friends.  In fact, I bet you and I already have one thing in common: neither of us has a tail!  I think I love you already.
