Hi! My name is Smiley, and I earned this name from the people at the shelter because I’m super happy all the time, I love everyone and just can’t help but smile a lot, despite the fact that my family never came to claim me, I maintained a positive outlook!
I’m known for not being aggressive at all, just overall playful and loving. I’m a good listener too, so far while in foster care I’ve learned to sit, not jump, the word “no” and I’ve been a good boy and have successfully crate/potty-trained.
Thankfully before my time was out at the shelter SNAP2IT took me in and gave me a safe haven. They were pleasantly surprised to find out that I am healthy. I am a 1-2 year old lab mix who weighs about 45 lbs. I love all people, and great with dogs, even little ones, I met a Chihuahua along the way of my rescue and I was calm and playful with him and I even stood still while he gave me the sniff down. I enjoy playing with cats, however I think I may intimidate some with my playfulness and they run away a lot.
I do great in car rides, and I’m told I’m such a good boy when my people are around, I bark occasionally but not excessively. I do have a little bit of separation anxiety, since I haven’t had a lot of stability, and I’m still young, I feel safer in my crate when my people are gone, if they leave me out of my crate I get a little nervous and chew.
I am seeking a forever home, with lots of love and stability, I offer lots of fun, happiness and unconditional love!
· good with all dogs (even smaller)
· No aggression at all
· probably do fine with kids that are a little older, so he doesn’t knock them over if playing
· Crate/potty trained
· leash trained
· ok with cats, just may scare them because he wants to play and chase them but not harm them
· smart/learns quickly
· has a little separation anxiety, but does great in his crate while his people are out
· 1-2 years old, so will definitely calm down
· does great on car rides
· barks occasionally
Smiley will be great in any type of home including with older children and small dogs. He has no special needs and will make a very special addition to the family.
Like all SNAP pets, Smiley is neutered, up to date on shots and vaccinations, and micro-chipped. And ready to meet you at one of our adoption centers or by special appointment.
