Black/White DSH

DOB 10/26/2016

You’ll never meet a girl more lovable and sweet-natured than our Sophie!  Sophie recently read an article in “Psychology Today” about the importance of cultivating an Attitude of Gratitude.  Every day since then, she’s taken time out of her busy schedule of napping and hunting feather toys to write down three things she’s grateful for in her journal.  She tells us it helps to keep her grounded and living in the moment.  It takes her a while to write, though, because she doesn’t have opposable thumbs.  We sneaked a peek at today’s list:

Today I am grateful for….

  1. Other kitties!  They are all my best friends in the world and I love them so so so much.
  2. Freedom!  When I was a very small kitten, I had an injured leg.  So the vet put me in a cage (a.k.a. PRISON) to heal, and I was sad and lonely.  I did not like solitary confinement at ALL.  But now I am all better and freeeeee!
  3. My human friends at the shelter!  They are very kind to me and I always repay them with nuzzles.

Sophie is also a Pinterest devotee and is working on a Vision Board of future aspirations.  At the top, it says, “FUREVER HOME, PLEEZE.”  We think she deserves it – don’t you?
