SNAP-2IT Receives $2,000 Grant from

Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation

Snap-2it is excited to announce a $2,000 grant from Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation to increase the number of animals spayed, neutered and rescued off the streets of Atlanta in 2012.

With Build-A-Bear’s help, Snap-2it anticipates facilitating the humane spay and neuters of 72 animals decreasing overpopulation in Georgia and controlling feral colonies in our local community.

The grant will also allow us to offer spay/neuter services to any resident with an animal in need of assistance and helping the community at large with managing feral populations by providing food and healthcare services.

These additional funds also help make it possible to educate citizens on the importance of spaying, neutering and proper pet care through face to face contact, brochures, flyers and an up-to-date website. The results of these services will lower the number of animals in shelters and the number of homeless pets suffering in our streets.
Together with Build-A-Bear, we can make a difference by helping to combat and eventually stop pet overpopulation through spay/neuter and by raising community awareness.

On April 5th,6th and 7th, SNAP volunteers trapped and spayed/neutered 75 adult cats and rescued 33 kittens from feral colonies from Kennesaw GA to Lawrenceville GA.  This was all made possible by Bulid A Bear.  You can help today by purchasing Bearameys Kennels Pal’s plush animals today!
